Nike Dunk

The Dunk High was originally released in 1985 as Nike’s first collegiate team shoe and was worn by The University of Michigan, University of Kentucky, University of Iowa, Syracuse, St. John's and UNLV in their respective colorways during that NCAA basketball season. Since then, Nike Dunks have gained a cult following and have been rereleased several times in countless iterations and through several collaborations. Initially, Skateboarders organically adopted early Dunks fueling the interest. In 2002, Nike release the first series of Dunk SB’s, which were designed specifically as skate shoes and included increases padding and unique traction features. More than 30 years after the original release, Nike is still producing new Dunks as well as occasionally rereleasing classic models.
